Do you want to…
Get out of your head and be more present in your relationships?

Feel calmer or in control when your triggers make you anxious or obsessive?
— I can help you with that.
I'm Carly, a licensed therapist in CA, NY, MI and FL for people with anxiety and OCD. I'll work closely with you so you can stop overthinking and obsessing. I'll teach you practical ways to manage your anxiety or OCD and help you dig deeper to find out what's behind it all. I'm so excited to get to know you!
It would be amazing to know how to respond when you're jumping from one worry to the next, or cycling through "what if" scenarios in your brain.
I am originally from southeastern Michigan and have lived in New York, California, Morocco, and Colombia as an adult. I speak Spanish and enjoy learning about cultures different from my own. In 2017, I began a graduate degree in clinical social work at USC, following a lifelong desire for a career that allows me to serve others.
I experienced anxiety and OCD when I started graduate school. At the time, my"symptoms" didn't match up to my understanding of OCD. Through therapy, and my own research, I figured out that what I was experiencing was OCD and was able to get the help I needed.
After graduate school, I spent several years working with infants, children and families, but then decided to focus my private practice on treating anxiety and OCD in teens and adults. Because of my background in children and families, and some specialized perinatal training, I am also skilled in treating mothers and parents who are experiencing anxiety and OCD. I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Inferential Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT) when treating OCD and anxiety. I also draw on attachment based and relational therapies and will be focused on creating a safe space for you during treatment. You won't be pushed further than you're ready to be in treatment with me. I don't believe that treatment should be manualized, even if I am teaching you practical ways to manage your symptoms. In our work together, we'll spend time developing our relationship, uncovering what's going on and finding the best path forward.
Outside of being a therapist, I enjoy reading, especially memoirs and books written in the first person, listening to music, hiking and being in green spaces, watching independent films and going on adventures with my husband and son.
