FAQs

  • I see teenagers and adults who need help with anxiety and OCD. For Parent Child Interaction therapy, I see parents with their child.

  • During our first appointment, I'll focus on getting to know you and learning about why you're coming to therapy. At the end of our appointment, we'll work together to identify your goals for treatment.

  • The length of therapy varies from person to person - some people may only need to see a therapist for 6 months to a year, while others may enjoy the continuous support that therapy provides for several years. Your success in therapy is dependent on your relationship with your therapist, and it will take time for us to build a strong relationship. In my experience, people who stay longer in therapy see better results, as there are no quick fixes. Many people come to therapy feeling stuck, and it can take time to figure out the best path forward.

  • I do not recommend biweekly therapy at the start of treatment.  It will be hard for us to build a strong relationship if we only see each other twice a month. Biweekly therapy may be suitable for clients who have spent considerable time in therapy, and are looking to maintain progress.

  • I accept some insurances, including Aetna. Please inquire directly about using your insurance. I am licensed in multiple states and my ability to accept your insurance plan depends on the state you reside in.
